Our workshops are limited to Ontario residents only as they are funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health
There is an evolutionary advantage to worrying: constructive worry gives us an edge in coping through life’s challenges.
But when worry is unproductive, or when unfocused worry-spirals are increasing anxiety, interfering with our day, or resulting in more time spent worrying than working, it’s time to lessen the worry habit.
This two-hour workshop provides practical strategies to curtail unhelpful worrying and decrease its negative impact on mood & performance.
This session includes:
- The 2 approaches proven to decrease worrying
- How to shift from unhelpful, unproductive worry to more constructive worry
- Tips for bedtime worriers
- The 5 pitfalls that perpetuate and escalate worry, making it difficult to break out of worry spirals
- Brain training exercises and a variety of other techniques to curb worrying
This workshop is facilitated by Kathy Somers, R.Kin., BCB, from the Stress Management & High Performance Clinic. Click here to learn more about Kathy Somers.
