The Flinder's Program™ was formerly known as the Flinder's model. It was developed at Flinder's University in Australia and after 10 years of reserarch and success, it has moved from a model to a program.
This program was developed to support health care providers to learn effective communication strategies to support self-management and motivate effective behaviour change.
This program was developed by Dr. Jacques Bedard, from Quebec. The focus is on assessing the stage of change and the level of conviction and confidence, and using motivational interviewing as the intervention technique.
