Learning Objectives

1. Explain why the WHI-era fear around hormone therapy was misapplied — and what the 2025-2026 FDA label changes actually mean for practice.

2. Identify the core menopause symptom clusters patients present with (often not labeled as menopause) across specialties.

3. Apply the "timing hypothesis" and current risk-stratification framework when a hormone therapy conversation is warranted or a referral is needed.

4. Recognize communication patterns that make patients feel dismissed — and replace them with validating, shared-decision-making language.

5. Know when and where to refer within their local/regional care pathway.

This online session is facilitated by Amanda Otterman, RN-- The Meno Health Nurse
